FREEdom Brigade

Recently a friend of mine went through a painful breakup, involving the usual- anger and betrayal. I found myself asking her to redirect her attention, to consider what she could do in order to empower herself.

I was surprised to find that I had a deep need to ask myself the same question, not because my intimate relationships lacked love, but because I had been hiding my beauty and my power for so long, waiting for permission to be happy, to be good enough.

My intention, and my hope, is to create a powerful environment in support of personal freedom, autonomy, and change, in whatever individual form it manifests.

I've noticed that sometimes people have a vested interest in our remaining the same. Maybe because they benefit, or because, if we change, they need to look at their own lives.

I want to learn to play again. I want to reclaim my vulnerability as strength, and I want meaningful relationships that stand for something essential.

Someone said that this town opens your heart a little bit. I think maybe he was right.
I bought a sparkly pink hoola hoop yesterday. Come l.o.v.e. and p.l.a.y. with me.
